Serving board comes fully seasoned. This means that after the lumber is shaped and prep sanded the wood grain is raised by pre-washing the board with hot water. This is followed by a final sand/polish once dry. We then apply our unique wood wax, a durable drying oil/wax made in house from food safe ingredients. This is the best finish on the market. Finally we buff each board thoroughly by hand and allow the finish to set prior to packing. Almost all other brands skip the seasoning process entirely. Our boards are not only ready to use but the surface will stay smooth after many washes.
Ask about our wood wax for regular care and maintenance. Don’t let your boards dry out over time or through heavy use, wax often. Don’t use petroleum based mineral oil for cutting boards. Our natural wood wax is far superior to any other finishes, synthetic or otherwise.
